It all comes around..

I got the call I knew I would get someday!

One of my buddies from Target called, with the news...She is no longer with Target! Rumors abound...she resigned under the pressure, corporate was coming down on her for the way she treated people, she was done with the games...I cant wait to here more.

I can't really say what I would change if I had the chance to do things over. I am stronger for what I went through, and much happier now than I think I would be even if I was still with Target.

So tomorrow I'll make some calls to reconnect with some old friends! Should be interesting!

Freaky Stories

Everyone has one...Misti swears she lived in a haunted house as a kid.

I cannot explain the strange lights we saw for hours last year one fourth of July...

I love to listen to the Wacko stories that call into Coast to Coast radio on the way home from work...

Haunted House shows, X files, stories of livestock mutilation, bigfoot...fascinate me.

I swear I have some psychic ability...although its really just a soulmate connection with me and Misti. Everyday we are on thinking the same thing, I'll ask her something and she will just laugh.
But the dream I had about Wyatt makes me think what if...

Tagged

Ok so my wife tagged me with 10 turn offs/ons

So I'll play along, not sure if this is wise...

Turn ons in no particular order...
1. Blonde hair
2. Blue eyes
3. Tattoos nothing too crazy like on the face...
4. Exposed Midriff
5. Pony Tails, well hair up...maybe its the neck and not the hair...
6. Wit, be able to hold a conversation
7. A great Kiss
8. Contact, holding hands, hold my arm while walking on the beach, head on my shoulders etc..
9. A little make-up, not because you need it though...
10. A great smile, that might have some crazy thoughts behind it....

Turn Offs...again in no particular order...
1. Wearing clothes that wasn't designed for your body...sure they make it in your size, but c'mon now...to a certain degree...not to say wear a moo moo if your not a size -3...but you know what I mean
2. Frumpy boring clothes...a little style, a little thought, makes me think you might care what I think you look like.
3. Too Much makeup, crazy blue eye shadow, and painted eyebrows...
4. Hair where it doesn't need to be...lip, in between your eyebrows, you get the picture...a little leg hair stubble wont kill everything...but arm pit stubble...arm pits in general really
5. Nothing to talk about...dull conversation...
6. Smoking
7. too much jewelry
8. Muscle bound...good tone is fine, just dont bench me
9. Money hungry
10. No baseball? Don't have to love the Giants...but be prepared to watch a few games...

That was a little tougher than I tought it would be...

Huge First Day Back

Its started off like any old first day back on the job, touch base with everyone. Walk around and see whats new, try to get through 9 days of email...

Then I started talking to my boss...Apparently one of the stores in Northwest Las Vegas is hurting, down a manager and trying to open, with major buyers intown...up against a wall. So the Territory Manager decides to send ME! No real discussion, my name at the top of his list! Im blown away! He wants me to go there for 2 weeks and help get them back on track. A huge opportunity. Not sure how much will come to fruition with me just getting back from vacation, being out of the store for 3 weeks in a row...so we will see. Crazy! I got goosebumps when she was telling me all this!!

The "list"

As I pour over football lists for the upcoming fantasy season I thought of todays topic..My friend and I have always debated lists over the years. There are several categories, I'll break one out for the rest of the world here. I'll start off with most attractive women (of course that you don't know)...He can always rattle of his top tier, and usually I fill mine in as I go along. They always change, and thats usually when the debate starts..."You know who broke into my top five?"
Actually thats true for our top movies, songs, bands, PJ songs, etc...
The last time Misti and I ended up on this trail, her friend was over and they were talking about some dude they found attractive and started prodding for who I thought. After some feigned indifference we started to throw some names out there, here is top ten for now

1 Poppy Montgomery
2 Jennifer Love Hewitt
3 Jennie Finch
4 Gwen Stefani
5 Jaime Pressly
6 Teri Hatcher
7 Emily Procter
8 Niki Gudex
9 Jessica Simpson
10 Lindsay Lohan

Recent cuts...Jenny Garth, Anna Kournikova...
On the Bubble...Amy Beard, tanit phoenix, carmella descesare

Last Day

The story behind it...

Mr. Fun

A couple years ago while I was working at the Target in Encinitas I had the closing shift. There was always something going on in that store, never a dull moment. This night we had a small group of shop lifters and our security was on to them. I was the Shortage Captain for the store, and always interested in that side of operations, so of course I got an early heads up.

2 juvenile females, and one LARGE male were working together. One girl with a baby stroller would load up formula under the seat, while the other girl was keeping an eye out. The male was in the mean time stealing cell phones on the otherside of the store. The undercover guy is on him, and just happened to stumble on the formula scheme when one of the guys in the office saw it on camera...

So as the male heads for the door, the two girls join up, our security slides up next to him, ( a big guy on his own) dwarfed by the shoplifter. So the shoplifter starts wrestling to get away, slams our guy into the wall, headlocks, slams on the floor, a good rough and tumble...and the two girls are kicking and screaming to let him go etc...after a minutes struggle the sherriff rolls in and sees us holding down the huge dude, while the girls are wailing away, not a lotta damage just annoying. So the Sheriff flys in a knocks one girl on her ass, HARD! The other one stopped immediately to say the least. So had not to laugh.

So while the three are cuffed at our enterance, I get the duty of watching them while the cops and our team sort out the details. The whole time the dude wont shut up..."You think you are bad? Standing there, Id kick your....blah blah blah>" I just stand there with a little grin, he is going down for a couple hundered bucks... while cuffed he pulls a little sheet of paper out of his pocket and tries to toss it to a girl, I snapped it up. That really set him off, "you think this is funny? AH you're Mr. FUN! Im gonna come back here when Im out and get me a piece of Mr Fun!!"
Of course my best friend just happened to be coming into the overnight shift, and heres the Mr Fun part..and it stuck....

The cops head out to the car and find $500 worth of stolen formula, plus clothes stolen from the store next door, each had stolen goods on them personally, and he had a warrant!!

football

its thats time of year!

the niners signed their top pick, camps are kicking off, Sunday ticket offers in full swing, fantasy football leagues forming

49 mil for a kid that wont even start, they should just give him the ball and send him to the school of hard knocks...give them another high draft pick

sunday ticket...each year I debate it. every year it gets more $$$
55.00 not too bad....times four!
then there is the bonus pack...another 100 bucks, for the hd games and a couple bells and whistles

as for fantasy football...i have a league with a couple spots to fill. a few guys from my old work, a few new, and ? its a free league email me if you want more info

The Day After

Still not too bad, but definitely not as cofortable as yesterday...gonna be tough for mist with 5 kids for a couple days...

Its Tuesday, usually one of my favorite days of the week...New Music Tuesdays! But there doesn't seem to be much out today...new Jason Mraz, and accoustic Alanis Morisette should be interesting. The next month or so will be slow, everyone holding off until the holidays. I know PJ is in the studio still, hopefully something comes out soon...Gary Allan has one coming in October

not too bad

Quick and easy. In by 2:30, home by 3. I think the worst part was when he pulled off the tape. And the Vicodan is making the recovery just dandy!

big day

JJ turned 9 today!! My how she has grown, she makes me proud everyday.

A perfect way to celebrate...snip snip...just a little nervous about it, but I'm sure it will be better than I've built it up to be.

Its just put me in funky mood...I woke up at 6:30 and tooled around with my baseball teams. I should have gotten on my bike on the trails, I'll have tons of time to sit on my butt over the next couple days. But JJ woke up, and I didn't want to take off right away and now its 10:30 and creeping up on 100 outside...oh well...I wonder how long it will be before I can or will want to ride again...

I did start to read a book last night, Good to Great by Jim Collins, fairly interesting first chapter.

What's in your playlist?

Most of the time my most played stays at least among the same group of bands/artists...but once in a while a get the hinkering for some new music...but here are some songs that are tops on my Ipod... some new to the Library, some rediscovered, some permanent fixures...
Ben Harper-Steal My Kisses
Kid Rock-Bawitaba
Dierks Bently-Settle For a Slowdown
Keith Urban-You'll Think of Me (live)
Guns and Roses-Civil War
Pearl Jam- BushLeaguer
Sting-It's Probably Me
Stone Temple Pilots- plush (accoustic)
Bush-Letting the Cables Sleep
Rascal Flatts- Fast Cars and Freedom

Thats a fairly accurate 10 at least, I could go on...
Harper made it back to the list when one of PJs live shows went through my headphones where he tagged, Steal My Kisses on the end of Daughter.
Kid Rock just gets the blood flowin
Bentley has some great songs under his belt already, definetly one I'll be looking for new music from in the future.
Urban is one of the few country artists that I can listen to every track on a disc without skipping...99% of the time.
This is one my all time favorite GNR songs, I wish I could upload my old GNR tapes, patiences is up there too
PJ, well there is always PJ in my playlist...
Sting, an all time favorite, definitely have my parents to thank, I can remember listening to this on the way to Yellowstone, one of the few discs I took my discman off for...I hunted it down after it played on the overhead at work...not sure if thats good yet...
STP, by far my favorite all time accoustic song.
Bush, in my top ten bands, I wish they would do something soon, but Letting the Cables Sleep has always been a fav, and just heard it on Ethel...it cemented the channel.
The Rascal Flatts song makes me think of Mist everytime, I'm sure the first time I hear it live it will be ruined...I'll enjoy it while it lasts....

pinch myself

Every once in a while...as I look back 10 years ago, I couldn't have imagined myself being so lucky.

Post 1

Well lets see...

I will tinker with this a bit, not sure if it will stick.

I have the rest of the week off so I have some time on my hands to make this worthwhile. I make the most of it.
